A Cause and Effect Essay

HOW CELL PHONES ARE USEFUL?

Cell phones are a tool of convenience. Having a cell phone now makes people reachable in almost any location as long as there is good reception. Cell phone has become necessity of every human being. One can’t imagine the life without it. Being a part of today’s technological world, chances are quite high that you also own a cell phone. I consider that cell phone has a positive influence on society because it helps in different aspects of our life.

Cell phone is the best way to communicate. We can stay in touch with our loved ones anywhere, anytime, just because of cell phones. For this reason, we are more social with people around us. In addition cell phones have small size, lightweight, that make them portable. Life is nothing less than a hell without any entertainment in it. So, cell phones let us entertain while on the go. The cell phones are getting launched nowadays, come with super impressive features related to entertainment; therefore, we can spend a good time without thinking about our problems and avoid stress. Cell phones are quite useful in studies and business. In both fields, the mobile phone has become like compulsory gadget. Students can access Internet on their mobile phones while on the go, thus can get knowledge of any topic they wish to. The business persons can keep updated with the markets up and downs, so they can stay in touch with their employees and clients. People should find the best way of use their cell phone.

Although people think cell phones have positive benefits, there are some people who use it in a wrong way. The students are just addicted to cell phones. They can be seen playing games, chatting, and talking to their friends on their mobile phones most of the times. For this reason, they don’t get time for studies. In fact, students are more interested in wasting their time on cell phones, rather than spending it on studying. Most of the accidents that happen daily are because of cell phones. As a consequence, cell phones have resulted in dangerous driving, whose direct impact can be seen in increasing of accidents. Consequently, cell phones have bad impact on health as well. Several researches conducted by the health experts have proved the bad impact of mobile phones on health.

There is no doubt that cell phones are a necessity these days, but we should take care of use in the correct way. Cell phones are the main tool for communication and it helps in many other aspects according of the technology that your cell phone has. The society has the option to choose according to their necessity what kind of cell phone buy.

A Comparative and Contrast Essay

FIFA 14 AND PES 2014: BOTH ARE BETTER TOGETHER

For these days, many children want as a Christmas gift a play station; this also means having several video games. Two of the most famous games are PES 2014 and FIFA 2014. Both are of the soccer category. Many fans of the best sport that is soccer have waited the day of its release and these days a lot of people already have the two video games. Both video games are different companies that are KONAMI and EA SPORT so each year each company seeks to innovate in their projects and exceed their sales. Both games have tried to show your users to feel that they are in a real soccer game. But if you think of buying one of these video games, you should know that although both are soccer, there are some aspects like the gameplay and graphics, the modes and licenses can be different.
In 2014 EA and Konami both were trying to add more realism to their football simulators. In FIFA 14 we can see the Pure Shot function and Real Ball Physics that together will let your in-game footballers make the same kicks as the real players do. However, PES 2014 provides TruBall feature that also erases the borders between football and its simulation. Talking about graphics, PES 2014 has got the brand-new graphical engine - FOX Engine - that is also used in the latest Metal Gear Solid instalment, and you will see the great leap in the quality of graphics from the first minutes of the game. The faces of the footballers look very realistic and their animation has been greatly upgraded, the small details - clothes, boots, and grass - designed perfectly, and even the football fans displayed in the background are very cool. In contrast, the graphics of FIFA 14 was updated, but in general the game looks like the last year's instalment. It is not bad, because the previous FIFA was better than PES 2013, but now we see the wax faces of some footballers much clearer than last year. These are two important points to consider.

Another aspect to compare is license and modes. Licenses are the winning criterion of FIFA 14, as it always was.  FIFA 14 has more than 30 leagues, 600 clubs and about 16,000 footballers. Comments are superfluous. However, PES 2014 has lost several European teams and stadiums because of severe EA licensing politics. Finally, In PES 2014 we will be able to play Master League and Master League Online modes, and they both allow you to create your own team and make it a champion. These modes are designed rather well, and it will be really entertaining to play them. On the other hand, Ultimate Team from FIFA 14 is better this year. The new chemistry system that was announced in this instalment of FIFA series allows you to make unique team, and lots of different matches will give you an opportunity to try the team in action. So these are other aspects to consider before taking a decision.
Before to take a decision to buy FIFA 14 or PES 2014, both games have got the same scores: 2:2, and so only you can decide, which criteria are more important - the gameplay and graphics or the modes and licenses. In my opinion, both games can be rewarded with the highest marks this year, and both are really cool. We would advise PES 2014 to the gamers, who are looking for the most realistic and challenging football simulator, while FIFA 14 has many interesting features and opportunities.

A Narrative Essay

A Most Memorable Trip

When I hear about the most memorable trip, I remember when I traveled to Cuzco. My family and I were to visited Machu Picchu and other tourist places. We traveled in February on 2010. It was a trip of vacation. At first, I thought it would be a simple trip and I was boring about this decision of my family. But, In Cusco, I could visit and know more about Inca culture. For a lot of reasons, this trip is one of the events I remember a lot.

Traveling to a different place was awesome. It happened on February 2010. I finished my school class successfully, and my family and I traveled to Cusco to spend our second month of vacation. First, I did not carried with me a lot of clothes. We traveled to Cusco by airplane. Then, when I arrived, I notice that the weather was different, it was raining. After that, we stayed in a hotel near the plaza of Cusco. That day, my father told me that tomorrow we are going to visit Machu Picchu. The next day, I woke up and take my breakfast. Then, we go to visit Macchu Picchu, one of the seven wonders in the world. I could see that it was like a three big mountains made by rocks. And I was thinking how Inca people could build it. I took many pictures; I was amazed by knowing this place. It was the second day, and I knew that the following days would be better.

At that time, I wanted to continue visiting more places. Next day, I visited Saksaywaman which is a walled complex on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco. Like many Inca constructions, the complex is made of large polished dry stone walls, with boulders.  In the last days, I visited the cathedral and buy a book that was written in Quechua. Finally, I decided to buy some souvenirs and I went to barrio San Blas. I could visited many places, but also I ate some typical dishes. But, I remembered a dish that I disliked a lot, it was roasted guinea pig. It was a dish that seemed like a rat. Although, I ate that dish and my mouth smelled strange, I was not sad because I knew that I spent a good vacation.  It was an amazing trip.
Although at first I did not agree with the trip, I could enjoy the most. It was a trip because it memorable more known places of my country and a little bit of their culture. Besides, I could know that I must not think that all will be bad before I go there. It also relates to the personality of the people.

A Classification Essay

TWO PLACES FOR GO SWIMMING

When you want to go swimming and spend a good time in the water, there are two options: going to the beach or going to the swimming pool. There are some important points before decide which place you want to go. For example the price, depth of water, the weather, and the time you can stay and people who can go with you. Knowing these two options to enjoy swimming, you should evaluate the eclectic benefits of going to the beach or swimming pool.

Going to the beach is a good option to spend a day swimming. Most of the beach in Lima is free, so you do not have to worry about the money. But the depth of water could be a problem because there are some people who do not how to swim or know the basic techniques. So it will be better that you go with some friends, so if you have a problem they could help you. In a swimming pool, the depth of water is consider normal because there different kind of swimming pool one for children and other for youth or adults. For this reason swimming pool are safer than beaches. The swimming pool are open in summer because is the season in which a lot of people want to swim and enjoy in water. 3 Wishes

I have many wishes, but I think there different kinds of wishes. The first are wishes that could be done because are real and the second are unreal because anyone did that. Well, now I will talk about my three real wishes. The first is to travel to Brazil to go to the different stadiums to see many soccer matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. I know that there are 0.5% possibilities to travel because I don't have a lot of money. But I know that someday I will be in the final match of a World Cup. The second is to get a scholarship for study industrial engineering, I would like to study abroad and become a professional. So I will study a lot to become real my second wish. Finally my third wish is to visit the stadium of the most famous soccer teams around the world. So finally I think people should wish things that could become real in the future and they work or study a lot to become real their wishes.

Traffic stresses me out

Traffic stresses me; every day we see a lot of bus in big lines, and cars. Some of them don't have their driving license. The cause of the traffic is that there are many informal drivers. So the government should do something about that. Many people take a bus because they want to go fast to their destination, but actually people spend twice of the time that they spent years ago. In addition by the traffic, especially in Lima, we have a lot of air and noise pollution. Every day when we are in the bus we are breathing polluted air. So, the government should do something about this problem. I know that we can use bikes to help the environment or exercise, but in Lima we don't have road for bikes. So we someone is riding his bike, he could suffer an accident, because the cars and bus have the preference in the runway.

I have learned ...

This month in my art class at high school, I have learned how to draw the perspective of many things like, a building, city, avenue, and bedroom. The perspective is an approximate representation, on a flat surface (such as paper), of an image as it is seen by the eye. Of the many types of perspective drawings, the most common categorizations of artificial perspective are one-, two- and three-point. The names of these categories refer to the number of vanishing points in the perspective drawing.
One-point perspective: A drawing has one-point perspective when it contains only one vanishing point on the horizon line. This type of perspective is typically used for images of roads, railway tracks, hallways, or buildings viewed.
Two-point perspective: A drawing has two-point perspective when it contains two vanishing points on the horizon line. In an illustration, these vanishing points can be placed arbitrarily along the horizon.
Three-point perspective: Three-point perspective is usually used for buildings seen from above (or below). In addition to the two vanishing points from before, one for each wall, there is now one for how those walls recede into the ground.

Pets

Pets are domesticated animals that are kept as companions and looked over by their owners. The most popular pets are noted for their attractive appearances and their loyal or playful personalities. Pets commonly provide their owners (or guardians) physical and emotional benefits. Walking a dog can supply both the human and pet with exercise, fresh air, and social interaction. Pets can give companionship to elderly adults who do not have adequate social interaction with other people. The most popular pets are likely dogs and cats, but people also keep house rabbits; rodents such as gerbils, hamsters, fancy rats, and guinea pigs; avian pets, such as canaries, parakeets, and parrots; reptile pets, such as turtles, lizards and snakes; aquatic pets, such as tropical fish and frogs; and arthropod pets, such as tarantulas and hermit crabs.

What is in my backpack?

In my backpack there are many things for example papers, pencils, money, books. I bring my backpack to many places so I should bring with me the most important things that I will need, it depends of which kind of place I will go. But most of the time, I go to school and I have to bring my books, notebooks, color pens and my cell phone. This are the most common things of my backpack. But I could say that I have a collection of tickets that I receive when I take the bus, in one of the pocket of my backpack. I started this collection since I was nine years old. In addition, I have many little coins that are called “centimos". When I go to a supermarket and I receive some centimos in the change, I keep it with me and leave in my backpack. Last year I could change all my centimos, and I receive ten soles. So I continue collecting centimos in my backpack.

I miss ...

I miss the days when I used to have nap time after returning from school. In the school I played a lot with my friends and I have many classes. I have to learn and remember new things, also do math exercise.  And every Friday I had an exam of the things that I learned during the week. But the good thing was that I don't have homework every day, also I finished it at school. When I returning from school I could had a nap time of 30 minutes. And then, I ate my lunch. This happen when I was in school but now I am in high school. And I don't have a lot of free time, because I have many obligations like homework or take English class. I know that there are only two months left to finish the year and then summer vacations will come, so I can have a little more free time to take a nap.

I am looking forward to ...

I'm looking forward to knowing in which group will be the countries which qualified to the FIFA World Cup 2014. I know that many people of different countries are hoping the draw. But we should hope for some days because this 6 of December will be held the draw of the groups for the FIFA World Cup 2014. We already know the countries who qualified, and we should hope the draw. After, we know the countries which are in each group. Everyone will hope that the ball starts to roll next year in Brazil. It will be the most important event next year around the world. In Brazil, there will be the best soccer teams followed by their soccer fans of different countries. They will be there with the only objective of winning the tournament and raise the FIFA World Cup. So, I will be counting the days until it arrives the 6 of December.

My dream house

My dream house will be a big house that has a sea view, many rooms and technological things. My house will have six floors and eighteen rooms. I will need many rooms to do different activities like studying, working, playing, watching TV, sleeping or eating. It will be important that my dream house should be outside the city because I want to feel the nature of the environment. Also a house that the doors can open with my voice or of my family. And should have many areas like a soccer, tennis, golf and basket field, a big swimming pool, a garden with many kind of flowers. It should be near the beach because I would like fishing or surfing. The technology would be one of the most important aspects of my house because I want to do my house work easier and I would help the environment. So I hope that my dream house could be real.

I would like to have as a pet a ...

I don't like a lot animals but I would like to have one as a pet. I know that I should be responsible when I have a pet, I would like to have a dog, maybe a Chihuahua  because they are very small, intelligent. Dogs are considered intelligent animals because they can obey commands quickly, and they can perceive and know hat to do when you fell tired, happy or angry. They can interact like humans. Also having a dog has many advantages for example you can talk with the dog when you fell sad, although dogs don't respond with words they transmit their feelings by their movements. So when I have a dog I promise that I would take care of it, and bring a good quality of life. I will consider to help some organizations to find a house for dogs who live in the street or a good environment.

My favorite vacation

My favorite vacation are the summer vacations because I leave the school for two months that means not homework for some time, I spend Christmas with my family. Although I don't have the opportunity to spend my vacations outside Peru yet, for many reasons. I know how to spend an amazing vacation. In my vacation, I like playing soccer every day, swimming in the afternoon and practicing surf. Also, I camping in the beach with my friends on weekends. I can sleep more than eight hours and play video games. I spend more time with my family doing different funny activities. I know that I should help with some housework, like clean my bedroom or the living room. But I enjoy doing this things. I know that I will have the opportunity to spend my vacation outside Peru in the future. But for now I like to do this activities in the summer.

A thing that I don't leave my house without

When I go out from my house, I have important to things to bring with me. It depends of what kind of place I go.  But there is a thing that I always keep with me when I go out, this things are my keys. I have three copy of each key from my house. I consider my keys that are my important things because I remember a day when my parents traveled for a week and my uncle had to take care of me. But this day I went to play soccer at the park. And when I went to my house I notice that I lost my keys. I didn't decide to return to find it. For that decision I couldn't went out again because in the afternoon my uncle always went out to buy his newspaper. And he asked for the keys because He knew that I played soccer every day in the afternoon and he delayed almost an hour. But I didn't have the keys so I answered that I didn't went out because my friends were punished. So You shouldn't leave your house without your keys.

I am afraid of ...

I am afraid of darkness, I think this come since I have five years old, one day I slept in the afternoon. I was in my home with my mom, when suddenly there was a blackout, And my mom went to the third floor to find a flashlight. Then in few minutes I woke up, I couldn't see very well, then I turn on the light, but it didn't turn on. At that time, I thought I wasn't in my home, I imagined strange things, and I was scared, I didn't know what to do. When I cried, my mom heard me, and told me to be quite. And there was only a blackout. Since this experience, I am afraid of darkness, I couldn't sleep without the light or lamp on, because I start thinking in monsters and strange things. And I couldn't camping in the night. But I trying to overcome my fear, I know that all is in my mind.

I have traveled to ...

I have traveled to Cusco, which is located in the south of Peru. and It is a major tourist destination and receives almost 2 million visitors a year. It is designated as the Historical Capital of Peru by the Constitution of Peru. I traveled with my family to know more about the Inca culture by visiting many famous places. First, I went to Macchu Pichhu, one of the seven wonders in the world. Then, I visited Saksaywaman which is a walled complex on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco. Like many Inca constructions, the complex is made of large polished dry stone walls, with boulders. Nowadays Inti Raymi which is the annual Inca festival of the winter solstice and new year is celebrated there on June 24th. Unfortunately, I haven't participated in the Inty Raymi. But I could went to the cathedral and the barrio San Blas where you can find a lot of crafts.

My favorite movie

I like action movies, also with especial effects. I consider my favorite movie the saga of "Fast and Furious". But my favorite was the fifth edition: Fast Five, The movie's plot is about a mission in Rio de Janeiro between Dominic (played by Vin Disel), Briand O' Comer (Paul Walker) and Mia (played by Jordana Brewster). They escape to Rio de Janeiro. Also, Dominic didn't have be caught by the police. He went to Corcovado beach, and they stole luxury cars and spend all the time in race and parties. When He didn't have so much money He and his friend planned a theft, is about one thousand dollars, while he was doing his plan, he saw the police, and he couldn’t was discovered.  Finally, He splits the money with his friends, and challenges them to a race before the party start. This was one of the most shocking movies because of special effects. It's filled with a great production, nice places like beaches in Rio de Janeiro and also it was so compelling by the special effect that has all the cars and the action of the movie. This is good for a Sunday, When you want to spend an amusing time.

Today I ate ...

Today for my lunch, I ate a marine lunch. I ate a fish soup, its a dish made with fish. It's like a mix of some vegetables and accompanied with noodle. This soup is good for our memory. Then, I ate ceviche, which is a typical seafood dish of Peru. And it's one of my favorite dishes.  I think, there are many reasons for eat a ceviche, for example: its delicious, also it has proteins and it has a spicy flavor. The dish is typically made from fresh raw fish marinated in citrus juice, such as lemon , and spiced with ají . Additional seasonings may be added, such as chopped onions, salt, and coriander. Ceviche is usually accompanied by side dishes that complement its flavors, such as sweet potato, lettuce or corn. Finally, I drink a glass of chicha morada.

Peru has success in other sports

Unlike football, Peru does not have trouble classifying other sports world. In some cases we have a great team and other athletes seeking our expertise and continental break records.
1. VOLLEYBALL: The 'matadorcitas' from Natalia Malaga were in the Fourth World U18 Thailand 2013. The team also participated in the Under 20 World Czech Republic. Even though the country ran a great shame in the last South American championship in Argentina, the Peruvian selection is still a great team of South America.

2. ATHLETICS: In the recent Moscow World had two athletes competing. Jorge McFarlane participated in 100 meters hurdles, and Kimberly Garcia broke the national record of 20 kilometers up.

3. SHOT: The team will participate in the World Cup discipline, which will run from September 14 to 25 in the Polygon, 'Capitan FAP José Quinone’s in Chorrillos.

4. WATER POLO: The U17 team qualified for the 2014 World Championship in Turkey, after finishing fifth in the I Pan American category.

Why Peru not classify to the 2014 FIFA World Cup?

1.       Peruvian Football. The local tournament is the worst in South America. A lack of proper training players coupled with the lack of infrastructure. No Peruvian team has won the Copa Libertadores and have reached the point of having a classification round, which also uncommon.

2.       The excessive euphoria. Paulo Autuori said in 2002, a year before reaching the Peruvian Selection: “Fans, press, officials, referees and everyone involved in football must never know that Peru can be favorite to anything. No work may start thinking that you can achieve a classification. The promises it starts wrong way. “Few words to say many things.

3.       No investment in juvenile category. Each year, the Peruvian players transfer abroad does not exceed ten. Only in 2011 accounted for 3% Colombian international transfers (345 in total). Simple math: a greater number of players competing in competitive leagues, the greater the chance of having a competitive selection.

4.       One plus one equals ... three? In 2009 a study was conducted among 61 countries to measure and compare the level of school students. Peru ranked second to last, ahead of Kyrgyzstan. They did not go to the World Cup. Do you see the pattern? It accuses the National Team players have poor concentration, low self-esteem, of being unable to handle the pressure. Without good education at home and in school is impossible to demand that they are good players, much less better people.

5.       The "Burguismo". Under the leadership of President Manuel Burga as FPF, Peru never qualified for a World Cup. Although this failure is of universal proportions, his work is not limited to that. Since he took office and promised economic changes in the local tournament football. And he fulfilled: now we are worse.

It is clear that to fight the classification is necessary to begin to correct the problems of Peruvian soccer that are old and familiar. But there is one issue: the leaders who have the task of changing the things they want everything to stay the same, because they live in informality and the need to continue in their posts.

Bosnia and Herzegovina first qualification to the 2014 FIFA World Cup

Bosnia-Herzegovina made history in Kaunas, a nervy 1-0 win over Lithuania securing their ticket to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, which will be their first-ever appearance at a major finals. Stuttgart striker Vedad Ibisevic was the man of the night, scoring a 68th-minute goal in this decisive Group G qualifier. Since gaining independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1992, the Bosnians have agonizingly all too often tripped up at the last qualifying hurdle, as they did against Portugal in the play-offs for South Africa 2010 and UEFA EURO 2012.

With Greece taking a seventh-minute lead against Liechtenstein in Athens to assume the Group G summit, the task facing the Safet Susic-coached side was at least clear cut, a win now being essential to grab the automatic qualifying spot on goal difference from the goal-shy Greeks. Desperate to avoid the play-offs Bosnia emerged for the second half intent on finding a way past the in-form Arlauskas. The Lithuanian player made his third save from a Miralem Pjanic free-kick minutes after the restart, with Ermin Bicakcic volleying the rebound high.  Then, with the clock ticking, Ibisevic finally put Bosnia in World Cup heaven. Set up by Edin Dzeko from the left, the 29-year-old side-footed past Arlauskas to secure Bosnia top spot in Group G and their long-awaited and fully deserved ticket to Brazil next year.

Oceanian Football Confederation Qualification (OFC)

The initial format was scheduled to begin in August 2011 at the 2011 Pacific Games in Noumea, New Caledonia, where the men's football tournament was to double as the first stage of the OFC World Cup qualifying competition.

First round: Based on FIFA ranks and other sporting considerations, the first round featured American Samoa, Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga and were played as a single round-robin tournament in Samoa from 22 to 26 November 2011. The winner of the group advanced to the second round.
Second round: The winner of the first round joined the remaining seven OFC teams in the 2012 OFC Nations Cup. The four semi-finalists (the top two teams from each group in the group stage) advanced to the third round. The groups were drawn at the World Cup Preliminary Draw at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 30 July 2011. The tournament was held in the Solomon Islands from 1 to 10 June 2012. Fiji had been the proposed host, but had their hosting rights revoked on 14 March 2012.
Third round: The four remaining teams played a double round-robin between 7 September 2012 and 26 March 2013, with the top team advancing to the intercontinental play-off. The draw for the fixtures was conducted at OFC Headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand on 26 June 2012. The matches were scheduled to take place in the period from 7 September 2012 to 26 March 2013.

The winner of the OFC qualification tournament, New Zealand, will play against CONCACAF's fourth-placed team (Mexico) in a home-and-away play-off. The winner of this play-off qualifies for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

CONCACAF Qualification

The CONCACAF qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup consisted of four rounds of competition, in which the 35 member nations competed for three automatic berths at the finals in Brazil. The United States, Costa Rica, and Honduras qualified. The fourth-place finisher, Mexico, will play a two-game series against New Zealand, the first-place team from Oceania, for the final place at the Finals.
The proposed format, which was subsequently accepted by FIFA, consists of 4 stages.
1. Round One. Teams ranked 26–35 will play-off to reduce the number of entrants to 30.
2. Round Two. 6 groups of 4 teams. This round includes the 5 qualifiers from the preliminary round plus teams ranked 7–25. The top team in each group advances to the next stage.
3. Round Three (Semifinal round). 3 groups of 4. Teams ranked 1–6 face off against the 6 group winners from the previous round. The top two in each group advance.
4. Round Four (Hexagonal). The top two teams in each group from the semifinal round compete in one group of 6. The top three teams advance to the World Cup finals, while the 4th place team advances to an intercontinental play-off.
First round: The first round of the CONCACAF qualifiers saw the bottom 10 teams being paired up into five home-and-away series, with the highest ranked team facing the lowest ranked team and so on. The winners of these series proceeded to the second round. The matchups were announced by FIFA on 26 April 2011. Early indications were that the matches would be played on 3 and 7 June 2011; however, the matches were postponed to scattered days in June and July, between 15 June and 17 July. The 5 winners (in bold, below) advanced to the second round of the CONCACAF qualifiers: Belize, Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands, Saint Lucia, and the Bahamas.
Second round: In the second round, the teams ranked 7–25 were joined by the 5 winners from the first round. These teams were drawn into six groups of four teams, at the World Cup Preliminary Draw at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 30 July 2011. The matches were played from 2 September to 15 November 2011. The top team from each group advanced to the third round.
Third round: The third round saw the top 6 seeds joined by the 6 group winners from the second round. These teams were drawn into three groups of four teams, at the World Cup Preliminary Draw at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 30 July 2011. These matches were played from 8 June to 16 October 2012. The top two teams from each group advanced to the fourth round.
Fourth round: In the fourth round, the three group winners and three runners-up from the third round competed in a double round robin, including a home and away match against the other five teams between 6 February and 15 October 2013. The round is informally referred to as the 'Hexagonal'. The top three teams qualified directly for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals, while the fourth-placed team will play a home-away series against New Zealand, the winner of Oceania. Teams are ranked first by total points in all games, then, if tied, by best goal differential in all games, then by total goals in all games. If still tied, the same criteria are applied to games among the tied teams.

Asian Football Confederation Qualification (AFC)

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) section of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification sees 43 teams competing for 4 or 5 berths in the final tournament in Brazil. 43 of the 46 AFC national teams entered qualification. A ranking list for the qualification rounds was released by AFC on 8 March 2011, with an updated list released due to the non-participation of Guam and Bhutan.

The rankings determined the round of qualification that teams began competition:
Teams ranked 1–5 (the teams that competed in the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals and the intercontinental play-offs) do not compete in the qualification rounds, and automatically qualify for the first group stage (drawn in Brazil in July 2011).
Teams ranked 6–27 (other teams that advanced past the first round in 2010 qualification, plus the three first round losers with the 'best' results) receive a bye to the second round of qualification.
Teams ranked 28–43 enter at the first round.

First Round: The first round consisted of eight home-and-away series, featuring the 16 lowest ranked teams in Asia. The winners of these series proceeded to the second round.
Second Round: The second round consisted of fifteen home-and-away series, featuring the 8 winners from the first round and other 22 teams ranked 6–27. The winners of these series then proceeded to the third round.
Third Round: The third round saw the 5 automatic qualifiers joined by the 15 winners from the second round. These teams were drawn into five groups of four teams, at the World Cup Preliminary Draw at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 30 July 2011. The matches were played from 2 September 2011 to 29 February 2012. The top two teams from each group advanced to the fourth round.
Fourth Round: The fourth round saw the group winners and runners-up from the third round play in two groups of five. The top two teams from each group advanced to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, while the two third-placed teams advance to the fifth round. So far, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Iran have qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Fifth Round: The two teams who finished third in the fourth round groups (Jordan and Uzbekistan) played each other to determine the AFC participant in the intercontinental   play-off. The draw for the fifth round of the AFC qualifiers was held in Zürich on 19 March 2013 during meetings of the Organizing Committee for the FIFA World Cup. The games took place on 6 and 10 September 2013. With the two teams still evenly matched at full time in the second leg, Jordan eventually progressed to the intercontinental playoff after winning 9–8 on penalties.

UEFA Qualification

The European Zone of qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup will see 53 teams competing for 13 places at the finals in Brazil.  The teams were drawn into eight groups of six teams and one group of five, with the nine group winners qualifying directly into the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The eight best runners-up (determined by records against the first-, third-, fourth- and fifth-place teams in their groups to ensure balance between different groups) are drawn in two-legged play-offs that will determine the other four qualifying nations. After all the matches concluded, these are the group winners: Belgium, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, England, and Spain. These 9 countries qualified directly to the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP.  There are still 4 berths. These are going to define in the Play-offs between 8 countries: Croatia, Sweden, Romania, Iceland, Portugal, Greece, Ukraine, and France.

CONMEBOL Qualification

The format for CONMEBOL's 2014 World Cup qualifying tournament was identical to the previous four editions. All CONMEBOL national teams played against each other twice on a home-and-away basis in a single group for 4 or 5 allotted berths. In this edition, nine teams played against each other. The top four teams automatically qualified for the finals. The fifth-place team will compete in the intercontinental play-offs against the fifth-place team from the Asian Football Confederation's World Cup qualifying tournament. After all the matches concluded, Argentina finished in first place with 32 points, Colombia in second place with 30 points, Chile in third with 28 points, Ecuador in fourth place with 25 points, Uruguay in fifth place with 25 place, Venezuela in the sixth place with 20 points, Peru in the seventh place with 15 points, Bolivia in the eighth place with 12 points and finally Paraguay in the last place with 12 points.

2014 FIFA World Cup qualification

In total 202 of the 208 FIFA member federations take part in the qualifiers. As the host nation, Brazil automatically qualifies for the tournament.  On March 3, 2011 during a meeting in Zurich, FIFA ruled that the distribution of the 31 seats, excluding these the host Brazil, would be: Asian Football Confederation: 4 or 5 berths, Confederation of African Football: 5 berths, CONCACAF: 3 or 4 berths, CONMEBOL: 4 or 5 berths, Oceania Football Confederation: 0,5 berths and UEFA: 13 berths. We already know the qualified teams: Brazil, Japan, Australia, Iran, South Korea, Netherlands, Italy, Costa Rica, United States, Argentina, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Colombia, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, England, Spain, Chile, Ecuador and Honduras. Still, we need to know the name of others 11 teams to complete the 32 berths for the World Cup.

2014 FIFA WORLD CUP

The 2014 FIFA World Cup will be the 20th FIFA world Cup, an international football tournament that is scheduled to take place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014. Brazil won the right to host the event on 30 October 2007 as the only country to enter the bidding process. It will be the second time that Brazil has hosted the competition, the previous being in 1950. Brazil will become the fifth country to have hosted the World Cup twice, after Mexico, Italy, France and Germany. Thirty-two countries' teams will take part in the finals tournament, playing in 12 cities throughout Brazil. Also, Spain is the defending champion, having defeated the Netherlands 1–0 in the 2010 World Cup final. The sale of tickets for the World Cup started on 20 August 2013. An estimated 3.3 million tickets will be available and the majority will be sold through FIFA's website.

Tennis

Tennis is a sport that people usually play individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a racquet that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The objective of the game is to play the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a good return. In my opinion tennis is the third most popular sport because it is played at all levels of society and at all ages. The sport can be played by anyone who can hold a racquet, including wheelchair users. Tennis is played by millions of recreational players and is also a popular worldwide spectator sport. The four Grand Slam tournaments (also referred to as the "Majors") are especially popular: the Australian Open played on hard courts, the French Open played on red clay courts, Wimbledon played on grass courts, and the US Open played also on hard courts.

Socccer

Soccer is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. For me, it's the most popular sport in the world because it is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries. The most popular teams are in Europe. The top five of European leagues  are the Bundesliga (Germany), Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), and Ligue 1 (France) – attract most of the world's best players and each of the leagues has a total wage cost in excess of £600 million/€763 million/US$1.185 billion. The major international competition in football is the World Cup, organized by FIFA. The most prestigious competitions in club football are the respective continental championships, which are generally contested between national champions, for example the "UEFA Champions League" in Europe and the "Copa Libertadores de America" in South America. The winners of each continental competition contest the FIFA Club World Cup.
